So sometime last fall, I began drawing these little ghosts on evvvvvrything. And I had a friend who has photographed a boat graveyard in Staten Island that I thought would be perfect for my CMYK project and he gladly gave me some pictures to appropriate. Thanks, Matty (click this link for his Flickr, he’s super talented). Anyway, some girl bought two of these at our last print sale! She said she was going to hang them on her ceiling so when she woke up, they’d be there to make her happy about living. hahaha.
Anyway, here are some variations. “Pirates!” Fall 2011

my portfolio site thus far. functional and responsive at different browser resolutions. huzzah.
gotta finish the copy and some IE browser bugs (and fix the horrific jpg artifacts on the placeholder-logo) and figure out if I want to do full wordpress implementation or just a subdomain for the blog. (leaning toward the second at the moment.)
but yes. soon I will finally be a designer with an actual portfolio. FINALLY.
Via oh fragile, stillborn wonders.
My friend Rachel made these graphics for a project called Virginia Grown, which supports local farmers markets! She is an excellent designer and artist so you should absolutely go check out her website!
